It’s so, so strange to move from my old blog to this one, after four entire years elsewhere. I’m stillnot sure about the new name, the new look. I’m hoping I won’t lose the readers I’ve connected to over he past several years.
I need to get used to this new home. I’ve moved in my furniture–that is, I have imported over most of my posts from my previous Quemada site. But I still have to figure out where everything fits. And I have to learn how this theme works, what it offers me.
I feel oddly self conscious and slightly off-balance, but also a little excited. Just like after a real move.

Thank you! I’m excited to start up again and not have to hide behind a privacy wall. I mean, there was a good reason for that wall to be there, and I’m glad that option exists, for me and for others, but for my own purposes, I prefer to be able to interact with more people.

Not yet. I still have a few things to fix in the exporting of content from that and importing into this new site. After that, it will be deleted. I’m not going to post anything more over there.

I was wondering if you keep quemada in the title in there and it goes in a search engine won’t it automatically bring your son over to the new place? I’m not at all tech savvy so I’ve no idea. Will look forward to reading you though 🤗

La Quemada is still private (I think; I should check), so search engines don’t find it. But I should double check, because I see my comments on all the older posts still show up as coming from La Quemada, rather than switching over to be from Q. Hmmm. It’s a little complicated.

I know. Honestly, I’m so rubbish at I.T! It’s the bit Q (formerly known as Quemada) that I’m wondering about – it’s such an unusual word that I wondered if there’s still reference to it that google would just redirect to this?! No idea.

I think I’ll give it a week or so and then just change it to Q. I wanted to make it easier for people I’ve “talked” to on WP before to realize it’s the same me.
